NEW VIDEO ALERT: RIHANNA "WE FOUND LOVE"
Ok, I must admit...I'm totally in LOVE with this video. I think that it was really well done. Of course it's not for kids but it wasn't made with children in mind and if you're kids are looking at this video, then shame on YOU!
But anyway, I wish that all American videos pushed the limit like this one. Artistically, Metaphorically, etc.
Makes me think of Trainspotting and Requiem for a Dream. And of course we can't run from the Chris Brown reference. And for that I say, WHO CARES? Rihanna is a musician (whether you love her or hate her) and musicians speak through their music and music videos when it comes to their hurt and pain. That's their form of therapy, so get with the program people.
And of course we can't forget about the fashion. She looks HAUTE as always!
Check it when you get a chance and let me know your thoughts!

HELLO KITTY INVADES M.A.C.
Hello Kitty is "purring" its way into a M.A.C. location near you!
The line is scheduled to launch on M.A.C’s web site Feb. 10th, in North American stores on Feb. 12th and overseas in March.
“This is a sexy and innocent fashion line, and a true M.A.C moment. In these times, everyone can use a little fun — and a little Kitty," according to Estee Lauder President John Dempsey.
WOOHOO! How fun! Can't wait to check it out!
New York Fashion Week Finds A New Home in 2010
This just in! NY Fashion Week will move to the legendary Lincoln Center next year.
More than two years after the site emerged as a possible venue for fashion week, industry sources confirmed on Monday that the tents will relocate from Bryant Park to the Upper West Side, beginning in September 2010.
The city of New York is said to have finalized the deal with Lincoln Center, and Mayor Michael Bloomberg is expected to make the announcement today at a press conference, held by IMG and the Council of Fashion Designers of America.
Many fashion insiders expect NY Fashion Week to find it's permanent home at the Hudson Yards once that project is finalized.
This story is developing...
NO 'COLD SHOULDER' FOR ADELE
British singing sensation Adele has landed a conveted spot among the pages of an upcoming American Vogue. After a chance meeting with Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief, Adele's fate with the magazine was sealed.
Celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz is set to shoot the spread this week with the Grammy nominated singer.
And the perks don't end there for Adele, Wintour has graciously offered to style her for the upcoming 51st Grammy awards where she garnered four nominations.
We heart the plus-sized singer and love Vogue for this. Good Luck Adele!

INTERVIEW MAGAZINE SHAKE UP!
Another major shakeup in the world of fashion. Interview magazine co-editorial director Fabien Baron is leaving and taking creative director Karl Templer with him.
The rumor mill has been a-churning with this one. One such rumor is that the duo left to begin work on their own publication.
Let's see if that's the case but regardless a statement released by Brant publications states that Baron-"decided to resign in order to focus on [his agency Baron & Baron]" and Templer resigned "in order to focus on other projects."
We'll wait to see how this pans out...More updates to come.
MARC JACOBS SLASHES GUEST LIST
Raquel Zimmerman for Marc Jacobs S/S 09 Ad
Photographer: Juergen Teller
F/W09 hasn't even started yet but it is already generating a buzz for Marc Jacobs. Many in the fashion world are reeling from the recent news that Marc and the crew slashed their guest list for the upcoming fashion week show by as much as half.
What's even more interesting is that the venue, the 69th Regiment Armory, can hold tons of people.
Never mind who is invited now, all we want to know is who got un-invited!

SCAR-JO FOR D&G BEAUTY ADS
Guerilla Style Tactics previously reported on Scarlet Johansson signing a deal to be the spokesmodel for the Dolce & Gabbana Beauty line.
Well we've gotten our hands on the finished ads!
No line was crossed with these ads! But, we have to admit, she does look gorgeous but it is rather safe.
Let us know your thoughts!

MICHELLE OBAMA CHOOSES ISABEL TOLEDO FOR SWEARING-IN CEREMONY
Michelle Obama has chosen a sparkling yellow dress and coat by Cuban American designer Isabel Toledo for the swearing-in ceremony in Washington today. The first lady looks polished but celebratory in a shade of yellow that echoes the sunny day.
Toledo attended FIT and Parsons in New York City and has been designing under her own name in New York for more than 20 years. She's a fashion-insider favorite who sells at Barneys New York and is married to the fashion illustrator Ruben Toledo. Most recently, she was creative director of Anne Klein, where she presented a couple of wonderful collections on the runway in New York.
Michelle Obama's wonderful dress retails for $1500 and will hit Barney's in March. Her green shoes are Jimmy Choo's "glacier" pumps.
PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA
The team here at Guerilla Style Tactics would like to CONGRATULATE Barack H. Obama on becoming our 44th President in the United States of America. Not only is he our 44th president but he is our 1st African American president. We look forward to many great things as now it's time to say "out with the old and in with the new." You may now continue jumping for joy!

THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BIXBY
The always stylish and fashion forward Andre Benjamin (1/2 member of the super rap duo Outkast), has stepped out of his comfort zone by entering today's cut throat fashion industry. Benjamin launched his first clothing line, Benjamin Bixby, last season during New York Fashion Week.
The Bixby clothing line is inspired by late 1930’s college football documentaries and the official launch was hosted by Charlize Theron at Barney's in New York City. Benjamin definitely made good on his promise to deliver a unique and stylistic debut that most of us gentlemen can wear.
I had the opportunity to attend his launch event and I must say that the man (known as Mr. 3000) seemed very humble yet excited about his clothing line debut.
In other exciting news, the CFDA and GQ have collaborated on the Best New Menswear Designers in America project, which recognizes six finalists selected by GQ creative director Jim Moore and Damien Nunes. Benjamin Bixby is one of the six finalists.
Each designer will present a selection of looks from his 2009 fall collection at an event on February 11, 2009; the winner will subsequently be selected by a panel of industry experts including GQ's editor Jim Nelson, CFDA executive director Steven Kolb and designer Thom Browne.
The team here at Guerilla Style Tactics wishes Benjamin the best luck and hopefully we'll get an invitation to the show too!

MODEL SPOTLIGHT: LARA STONE LANDS ENTIRE ISSUE OF VOGUE PARIS
" Une E'toile est Nee le Top (A Star is Born on Top)"
Congratulations to rising Supermodel Lara Stone for landing an ENTIRE issue of Vogue Paris!
Looks like Carine Roitfeld, the editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris, decided that it was time to immortalize the Dutch model. It's no secret that Stone is one of Roitfeld's favorite models.
Stone strikes a pose for the February 09 cover and graces over a hundred pages within the magazine. Photographers Inez and Vinoodh, Peter Lindbergh, Hedi Slimane, Nan Goldin, and Steven Klein, to name a few, have lended their talents to this project.
I can truly say that this model is righteously taking her place among the greats.
Having had the honor of being on set with Lara, I was awe inspired with not only her level of professionalism but also with her modeling skills. She gets the job done!
Go out and buy the issue before it gets snatched up but until then check out some teasers below!

VICTORIA BECKHAM TAKES IT OFF FOR THE CAMERA
Victoria Beckham has followed in her hubby's (David Beckham) footsteps by posing in an eye-popping lingerie ad for Giorgio Armani.
Beckham reportedly signed a three year deal worth more than $25 million with the powerful fashion house. In a recent statement, Giorgio Armani, stated that Beckham was "a style icon, a dynamic lady whose influence and recognition will add great excitement to the continued international growth of our Emporio Armani Womens underwear business".
In the ads, shot by world renown photographers Mert and Marcus, Victoria is shown lounging about in nothing but her tidy undies.
Though Beckham is shown scantily-clad, her softer side shines through, almost serene like.
Now that's--MAJOR(insert British accent now)!
By the way, check out David's previous Armani ad below:

CHRISTINA MILIAN IS AGAINST THE WORLD
Christina Milian finally debuted her new music video for her first single, "Us Against The World." The video, shot by director Ray Kay, features Christina pulling off some amazing high-fashion looks.
While looking beautiful throughout the cinematic adventure, Christina's stand out piece was the gold chain link corset by designers The Blondes.
After attending their fashion shows for the past two seasons, I can definitely see their trends taking over where Heatherette (who is now defunct) left off. The Blondes are taking the fashion industry by storm by providing outifts for Rihanna (at the AMA's) and various other celebrities. Check out their Spring 2009 fashion show.
After being dropped by Def Jam, Christina continues to move forward after signing a deal with Myspace Records. Her new album Dream In Color is due in April.

SAY IT AIN'T SO!
Bryant Park Tents
Vera Wang
Betsey Johnson
Mercedes Benz Fashion Week kicks off in NYC in just a few short weeks. The excitement and energy is already starting but for some the energy is shifting-to a new venue.
Word has it that top designers such as Vera Wang and Betsey Johnson have opted out of showing their Fall 2009 collections in the "Thunderdome" of all Showplaces, the Bryant Park Tents.
The designers have decided to show in smaller venues to save money. Vera Wang, for example, is saving at least $50,000 by not showing in the tents. This means that Wang can now afford to channel that money into other areas of her company.
Honestly, I will miss these shows in the tents but I understand that keeping your "paper" in this economy is a smart thing to do!

Frida
This post was inspired by my friend, Josiah, who first introduced this young lady to my eyes via the site lateboots.com
She's the Model of the Week over at models.com. Frida hails from London, England and is signed with Select model management-Verve.
Her look is commercial to me in some pics but in some she looks more editorial. Maybe that's a good thing. I wonder how she'll do. Regardless, she's a beauty.

STILL GOT IT GOING ON
I heard that Naomi and Linda duked it out on the set of the DSquared2 Spring/Summer '09 shoot. Oh wait, it was the concept for the shoot!
I liked the way they played up Naomi's past. Seems like they were trying to make light of her controversial side.
Anyway, the duo scratch and claw at each other in an eloquent dance for the cameras. This is the Supermodel version of "Fight Club".
